Apple Dumplings from Grandma!

What Is The Best Way To Make Apple Dumplings?

For these handmade apple dumplings, peeled and cored Granny Smith apples are stuffed with butter and cinnamon-sugar, folded in a pastry crust, and covered in a buttery brown sugar sauce. After being roasted till golden, they melt in your tongue.

Apple dumplings are a popular comfort food that dates back to the 1700s; when a dish has been around that long, you know it’s special.

A peeled apple is cored and packed with butter, cinnamon, and sugar before being rolled in a pastry casing and baked till golden brown.

In a word, they’re great and require far less work than you may think. Replace the water in the sauce with apple cider or rum for additional punch, then serve the apple dumplings with a drizzle of excess sauce. If you put a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top, you’ll make lifelong buddies!!!!

INGREDIENTS:

Red apples of a large size.

This is a big can.

“Pillsbury” Crescent is one of the most well-known streets in the area.

7-up soda, 3/4 cup

a half-cup of soft butter

a third of a cup of white sugar

1 and 1/2 teaspoons

powdered cinnamon

1 and 1/2 teaspoons

Vanilla extract, to be precise.

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1st step:

I started by preheating the oven to 350 degrees and lightly greasing an 8-inch square baking pan.

Step two:

After that, I cut each apple into eight to ten tiny wedges. I also sliced the apple peels and kept them aside.

3rd step:

I divided the “Pillsbury” Crescent into triangles at this point. I began rolling each apple cut into a crescent roll from the large end.

4th Step:

I next crimp the apples together to keep them safe and secure before placing them in a baking tray.

5th Step:

It is preferable to dry the apple first and then roll the dough around it.

6th step:

I melted the butter in a small skillet and then added the sugar and cinnamon powder. I stirred constantly over medium heat until everything was properly blended.

Note:

With time, the mixture will thicken and harden.

7th step:

I took the sauce off the stove after it had thickened and added the vanilla essence.

Step No. 8:

I poured the cinnamon mixture over the apple pies and the soda on top of the dumplings.

9th step:

Finally, I baked for around 40 to 45 minutes in a preheated oven, until the top was golden brown!!!

I REALLY HOPE YOU ENJOY THESE DELECTABLE DUMPLINGS!!!
