how to make French Toast Casserole!


The French Toast Casserole is a delicious breakfast that is always a popular with family and visitors. This breakfast dish is made the night before so you can wake up to delicious French toast baked in the oven!



° 1 loaf of thick French bread or Texas toast

° 8 eggs

° 2 cups half and half

° 1/2 cup of milk

° 3 tablespoons of caster sugar

° 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract

° 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

° 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

° 1/2 teaspoon of salt

Cinnamon Crunch Topping:

° 1 1/2 butter 12 tbsp

° 1 cup pack brown sugar

° 1 tsp corn syrup optional

° 1 tsp ground cinnamon

° 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg


– Coat the inside of a 9′′x13′′ baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Dismantle.
– 1 inch thick slices of French bread Arrange the slices in rows in your prepared baking dish, overlapping them as much as possible. Remove from the equation.

– Whisk the eggs in a large mixing dish. Salt, half, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg Blend everything together until it’s smooth.

– Pour the egg mixture over the bread slices, coating them thoroughly. Pour a little of the mixture between the slices, ensuring sure they’re all covered. Refrigerate overnight after covering with aluminum foil.

– Preheat the oven to 350°F the next day.

Carefully flip each piece of bread to ensure that it is evenly coated in the mixture.
Prepare the filling as follows:

– In a medium mixing basin, toss together all of the ingredients. Fill the prepared bread slices with the contents. Then evenly spread over the bread (as if icing a cake).

– Bake for 35 minutes, or until lightly browned and puffed.
