This Texas Chili Dog is sure to please whether you’re tailgating, watching the big game at home, or just having a family movie night. When topped with rich Texas chili, freshly grated cheddar, and diced sweet onion, Ball Park Brand® Franks become even more delicious. If you prefer it spicy, you can easily add a couple slices of jalapeno. The greatest sides are Tater Tots or Fritos. You’ll need the following items to make this recipe:

4 Hot Dogs
4 String Cheese (Cheddar)
1 can Pillsbury Pizza Dough
1 can Chili (15 oz.)
1/4 cup butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fill a 6 X 10 or 7 X 11 pan halfway with chili. Cut the cheese in half lengthwise after removing it from the wrapping. Remove from the equation.

Roll out the pizza dough from the can. Using a knife, cut the dough into four equal portions. Sandwich a hot dog between two slices of cheddar cheese. Begin wrapping the bundle in the dough, starting at one end of the strip and working your way down the length of the hot dog. Place seam side down in the pan with the chili.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is baked and golden brown on top, once all four are finished.

Brush the tops of the hot dogs with the garlic butter, which has been mixed with the parsley and melted butter. Enjoy!

Note: If you don’t want a doughy bottom, put the dogs in first and then pour the chili over them.
