°1 pound minced meat
°1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
°Half a tsp salt
°Half teaspoon ground black pepper
°2 tablespoons butter
°1 yellow onion chopped
°½ chopped green pepper
°24 egg rolls
°12 slices of American cheese
°cup vegetable oil for frying
Step 1: Preheat the fry pan. Cook meat until browned and about the size of a pea, 5 to 7 minutes, cutting as little as possible. Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper are added. Remove the mixture from the skillet after a gentle stir.
Step 2: In a skillet, melt the butter. Toss in the onions and peppers. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until browned. Return the beef mixture to the skillet and stir everything together. While preparing the wrappers, let the filling cool.
Step 3: On a flat surface, lay out the egg roll wrappers. On each, place half a slice of American cheese. Top each egg roll with 3 tablespoons of the filling. Roll firmly by pulling the lower left corner over the filling and folding the sides, soaking the edges with water as you do.
Step 4 In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, heat about 1 inch of oil. 3 to 4 egg rolls at a time should be added and fried until browned, around 3 to 4 minutes. Carry on with the rest of the egg rolls in the same manner.
