1lb Angus Steak or Boneless Beef Tri tip (cut into cubes)
1lb Large Shrimp (Peeled & deveined)
1 C Red & Green Bell Peppers
1 C Chicken Broth or water
2 tsp Jerk Seasoning (see bottom)
1 tsp Creole Seasoning (see bottom)
1 tsp Salt & Cracked Black pepper
1/8 tsp Honey
1 T Butter
1 T Oil
Yellow Rice… Use Mahatma!
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Toss in the steak. Cook for 3 minutes, undisturbed. Gently rotate in pan until all sides are browned, about 7-8 minutes. Remove the item and place it away.
Jerk and Creole Seasonings are used to season the shrimp. Blend thoroughly. The color should start to change to crimson. Toss in the shrimp after the butter has been added to the pan. Cook each side for 1 minute. Honey should be added at this point. Cook for 1 minute more. Remove. The last step will be to finish frying the shrimp.
Add bell peppers to the same pan. Cook for 3 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened. To avoid scorching, stir often. Return the steak and shrimp to the pan. Toss to combine.
Add the broth/water and the rest of the ingredients. Reduce the heat to medium-low and allow to simmer to bring out the flavors. Serve with rice, either white or yellow. Green onions, black pepper, and/or cilantro can be added.
