°1 pound ground turkey
°1 chopped onion
°1 tsp. minced garlic
°30 oz. tomato sauce
°2 tsp. olive oil
°12 oz. Low carb routine pasta
°1 tsp. Italian seasoning
°1 c shredded skimmed mozzarella cheese
°1 c shredded low-fat mozzarella cheese
°32 slices of turkey pepperoni
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cook the pasta according to package directions and drain thoroughly.
In a skillet, sauté the ground turkey, onion, and garlic in olive oil over medium-high heat until the meat is thoroughly browned. If required, drain.
Reduce the heat to low and add the tomato sauce and Italian spice to the pan.
Combine the meat sauce, pasta, 1 cup of cheese, and 16 pieces of pepperoni in a large mixing basin. Stir until everything is completely combined.
Fill a 9″ x 13″ baking dish halfway with the mixture and top with the remaining cheese and pepperoni.
Bake for 20 minutes, covered with tin foil.
Before serving, remove the lid and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
