how to make a Chocolate Layered cakes wrapped with KitKat bars Recipe?



  • 1 3/4 cups flour

  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder 

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 

  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 cups granulated sugar 

  • 2 large eggs 

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil 

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract 

  • 1 cup boiling water 

  • Frosting:

    cream cheese, 4 ounce
    4 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
    1 cup sugar (powdered)
    a third of a teaspoon of cocoa powder
    1/2 cup chocolate Nutella
    Mix together the cheese and butter until creamy. Add the powdered sugar and cocoa and beat on low speed until light and fluffy. Add the Nutella and beat until fully incorporated.

  • Method:

    • Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. 

    • Whisk in sugar, then add eggs, vanilla, milk and oil Whisk well to combine.

      • Pour boiling water into batter, mix well (mixture will be thin in consistency)

      • Preheat oven to 350°F.

      • Grease round 9-in cake pan, line base with parchment paper.

      • Pour batter into pan, bake for 45-50 minutes.

      • Let it cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn into wire rack to cool completely before frosting.

      • Cut it to layers and spread the frosting on each layer, then frost the top and sides of the cake. 

      • Wrap it with Kit Kat bars and top it as desired.
