Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef
• 8 ounces ground pork
• 1⁄2 cup onion, finely chopped
• 1⁄2 cup water
• 2 large potatoes, peeled, cut into quarters
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon allspice
• 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cloves
• 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
• 1 double crust pie crust
Directions:
In a medium saucepan, combine the meat, pork, onion, and water and stir thoroughly.
Cook, covered, over low heat, tossing occasionally, until the ground beef and pork are cooked thoroughly.
In a small saucepan, boil the potatoes in enough water to cover them until cooked; drain.
Toss in with the meat mixture. Remove from heat and stir in the salt, allspice, cloves, and pepper.
Using a potato masher, mash the mixture. On a lightly floured board, roll the pastry into two 11-inch circles.
Fill a 9-inch pie plate halfway with pastry. Fill the container with the meat mixture.
Finish by fluting the edge and cutting many vents in the remaining pastry.
Preheat the oven to 450°F and bake for 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
ENJOY.
