°¼ cup butter

°½ cup white sugar

°1 cup all-purpose flour

°¼ tsp salt

°2 teaspoons of yeast

°½ cup of milk

°2 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced

°¼ cup white sugar

°¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

°1½ cups water


* Methods:

Preheat oven 375 degrees F Lightly butter a 9 x 9 inch glass pan.

In a large bowl, cream the butter and 1/2 c sugar.

In separate bowl, blending flour, salt & baking powder. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk.

Spread the mixture evenly in a baking dish.

If using canned peaches, drain them thoroughly, reserving the juice. Placing fruit on dough.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/4 cup sugar. Pour fruit juice or water over it.

Baking at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 45 to 55 min. During cooking, fruit and juice go to the bottom & dough rises.
